  • Additional social protection schemes: defined contribution pension, employee benefit and healthcare schemes

Mr Jean-Paul Agon continued to be treated in the same way as a senior manager during the term of his corporate office, which allowed him to continue to benefit from the additional social protection schemes and, in particular, the defined contribution pension, employee benefit and healthcare schemes applicable to the Company’s employees. The amount of the pension resulting from the employer’s contributions for the defined contribution pension scheme will be deducted from the pension due in respect of the defined benefit pension in accordance with the provisions of this collective scheme. The continuation of this treatment was approved by the Annual General Meeting on 27 April 2010.

The amount of the employer’s contributions to the employee benefit and healthcare schemes for the period from 1 January to 30 April 2021 amounted to €1,392 (gross), and the amount of the employer’s contribution to the defined contribution pension scheme amounted to €2,125 (gross).

At its meeting of 11 February 2021, on the recommendation of the Human Resources and Remuneration Committee, the Board of Directors set the amount of Mr Jean-Paul Agon’s fixed remuneration at the gross amount of €1,600,000 on an annual basis. A prorated portion for the period from 1 May to 31 December 2021 was paid, i.e. a gross amount €1,066,666.
